September 11th, DJI officially released two professional aerial cameras of M4/3- Zenmuse X5 & X5R. They are compatible with Inspire 1.
Zenmuse X5 is equipped with a large-sized sensor, provides 16 million high definition still photos and supports 24fps and 30fps 4K video recording. During flight, users could adjust aperture and focus through DJI Go APP or DJI wireless follow focus system. In addition, in view of the DJI 3-axis gimbal and 340g weight, it can reach 8-second long exposure shot.
Apart from the above features, Zenmuse X5 allows users to replace lens. It is compatible with DJI MFT 15mm f/1.7 ASPH, Panasonic Lumix 15mm G Leica DG Summilux f/1.7 ASPH, OLYMPUS M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12mm, f/2.0 lens and OLYMPUS M.Zuiko 17mm f/1.8 lens.
While the Zenmuse X5R features small size with the same sensor with Zenmuse X5. It carries a 1.8inch 512GB SSD. It also supports lossless 4K RAW video recording at average code rate of 1.7Gbps and highest code rate of 2.4Gbps. What’s more, D-LOG fully dynamic shooting mode is also supported.
According to official introductions, M4/3 camera of Zenmuse X5 series can not only be used for professional photography and 4K video recording, but also for mapping, 3D modeling, on-site inspection and so on.
In the aspect of price, Zenmuse X5 with DJI MFT 15mm F/1.7 ASPH Prime Lens is priced at RMB ¥13499. the rare camera is RMB ¥10499, while the lens is RMB ¥3799 if it is bought separately.
Beyond that, Inspire 1 combing Zenmuse X5 and the corresponding remote controller is sold at price of RMB ¥27999 and begins shipping at the end of September. How much the bare Zenmuse X5R costs is not released, but the Inspire 1 RAW which integrates X5R camera, 512GB SSD and dual remote controller is RMB ¥49999.
