Introduction: I’ve got the Zero Xplorer Vision for a while. Several days ago, i suddenly hit upon such an idea that whether this modular machine is easy to disassemble, and whether the interior is full of sense of design as the exterior. Therefore, i disassembled it. There are four points in this dismantlement, they are the dismantlement of fuselage, flight control module, gimbals module and remote controller, module.
1. The dismantlement of fuselage
These are the all of Zero Xplorer Vision and the dismantlement tools.
One point i want to state is that the self-tightening propellers were bought by myself, which are much easier to install than the original ones.
The whole shape is just like a boomerang, and i really want to throw it out.
Let’s start from the fuselage. The first one we should to disassemble is the screws beneath motors, but now the lid of the fuselage is still not able to be opened.
Pay attention to gap that the red arrow points. There are the four corners of gimbals, so we can associate that this quadcopter adopts modular design, and the flight control module can be unloaded alone.
These four screws are used to stabilize the flight module, let’s it unload them.
Shown as the picture, just press downwards, the black box can be took.
This is the black box, but let’s put it aside temporarily and i will elaborate this part alone in the latter.
After dismounting the flight module, the next step is to apart the screws on the fuselage.

2. Flight control module
Hold the black box on hands.
The master chip inside the flight module is ARM STM32 F405, it is also uncut. In the current market, many consumption-type and open source flight controllers apply this kind of chip, such as the PIX and SUPERX.
The GPS module is connected with the PCB of master chip via flat cables, and it is made with screening can.
This is the front side of the GPS module, there also has the power-on button and LED indicators alongside.
As you can see from the picture, the little black box besides the upper flat cables is IMU, the core of flight control.
Remove the little black box, we can see that the SMD gyro in stabilize on the main board, wrapping by damping sponges, which can greatly increase data error caused by the shock of fuselage.
The back side of main board that owns a SMD capacitance and many PCB welding spots, and the mancraftship is excellent.
3. Remote controller
Let’s take out the signal receiver in the back of the remote controller, and upload the several screws, then the remote controller is isolated.
There is a connecting line working on communicating with the rear mounted receiver. It is hard to pull out because it is blocked.
This is the mobile phone holder. When you don’t need it, you can place it inside the remote controller, which is a well design.
The only flaw is that it can’t hold a tablet.
The remote controller is isolated successfully, the battery is with parameter of 3.7v, 14.8wh.
This is the main board of the remote controller. The left one is motor which has good rumble effect when power on or take off.
This is the receiver hanging on the backside, the antennas are stabilized on the top.
Network control chip- Realter, it is widely used on laptops.
This is the antennas of receiver.
4. Gimbals module
Because this is the sophisticated parts, when i disassembled, i had some worries.
In fact, i don’t this pile of chips, but it is no doubt that they are used to stabilize.
There is the logo on the main board of gimbals, but it is not the new version of XIRO.
Well, it is complicated to disassemble camera.
Thoughts after disassembling Zero Xplorer Vision:
We can know from the above dismantlement that Zero Xplorer Vision is easy to disassemble because of the modular design which makes it convenient to repair and upgrade.
For Xplorer V, they still need improve stability, be quick to open the following function and release 4K camera module.
